Arizona Republican, Phoenix, Arizona Territory Monday, March 6, 1899, page 3, column 2 The News Of Prescott - Alexander Petit, a native of Bordeaux, France, died in Prescott, March 3, aged 62 years. He came here from California for his health but disease had to strong a hold on him. The funeral was held at the family residence on Saturday. -------------------------------------- Arizona Weekly Journal-Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, March 8, 1899, page 3, column 3 The City and County - (From Friday's Daily) A Frenchman named Petit, a recent arrival from California, died today in South Prescott of cancer of the stomach. Deceased was about 62 years of age, and leaves a wife and two children, one of them a son who has resided here for some time. Transcriber's note: Mr. Petit is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
