| Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Monday, February 10, 1923, page 6, column 3 Jasper Phillips, Prescott Pioneer, Called By Death Jasper Phillips died at the Pioneers' Home on Sunday morning at 8 o'clock, after an illness of about three weeks. His death was said to be the result of heart trouble. Mr. Phillips came to Arizona in 1875 and has lived in the state since that time. He was a hard-rock miner on the Hassayampa in partnership with Barney Smith about 30 years ago. He was admitted to the Pioneers' Home five years ago, his wife having died there during the last year.
