Carl "Jerry" Gerald Bromm
March 23, 1928 - June 3, 2017

Carl "Jerry" Bromm passed away on June 3, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Carol Bromm; his sons Eric Bromm, David Bromm and his wife Emily Bedoian Bromm; his sisters Joanne Payan and Mary Rence; grandchildren Randi Bromm, Danielle Massman, Nicole Bromm, Jake Bromm; great grandchildren McKenna Massman, Maci Bromm, and Addelyn Lenz. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Paula Bromm.

Jerry was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 23, 1928 to Carl and Catherine Bromm. He was the middle child of three children.

In 1952 he met the love of his life, Carol Remainder. They were married on June 20, 1953 in Saginaw. They were married for 64 years.

Jerry had a lifelong love and involvement with the car business. Working as a young man in his father Carl's Packard dealership. He also worked for Ford CIT Motor Credit before starting his Bromm & Wray Edsel dealership in 1957. He later opened Bromm & Wray Lincoln Mercury in Bay City, Michigan.

In 1975 Jerry made up his mind and made the bold move to moving west and opening Bromm Chevrolet, Olds, Buick and Opel in Wickenburg, Arizona. He developed the sleepy small town dealer into a thriving business that led in sales and customer service for many years.

Years later his attention turned to the housing industry. He was an instrumental figure in much of Wickenburg's subdivision development.
Jerry spent many hours serving on countless charitable organizations and boards in Wickenburg and the Sun City area. He was a founding member of the Dell Webb hospital in Sun City West. He also served many hours of service at his church, Redeemer Lutheran in Wickenburg.

Jerry had many hobbies. He loved to golf and travel. He was a founding member of the Los Caballeros Golf Club and a longtime member of Wickenburg Country Club. However, his real passions were fishing for perch on Lake Huron and the Saginaw Bay in Michigan and playing masterful Bridge with his countless friends.

He was a kind and generous man that always treated everyone with respect. He always had a warm smile and a quick witted joke or story for those he spoke with. He left his amazing thumbprint on Wickenburg and all those he touched in so many ways. He will be sorely missed by his family, his friends and this community.

Jerry will have a graveside service Saturday, June 10th at 10am at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Blvd. in Sun City. Later that day a Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at Wickenburg Country Club at 3pm. All are welcome at both services.
