Paresis Causes Death Of Paul Pulliam
(From Saturday's Daily)
After an illness of over three months, due to paresis, Paul Pulliam, passed away in this city yesterday where he had been under special treatment.
He was a brother of Henry Pulliam, the President of the National Baseball League from 1902 - 1909, and whose death occurred in Pittsburg, Pa., suddenly a few years ago.
The deceased had resided in this county for over six years and was well known at Mayer, Humboldt, and other mining centers.
Before coming to Arizona he enlisted in the United States army and was mustered out of the service at Fort Whipple, where he concluded to make this section his future home. He was highly connected in New York State, where wealthy relatives reside, and it is probable the remains will be taken home for burial.
Pulliam was a fine type of the athlete, and like his brother, was a devotee of the national game and an authority on sporting matters. He was aged about 55 years and single.
The remains are at Ruffner's awaiting advise from Eastern relatives.
Transcriber's note: Mr. Pulliam is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
