Jacline Irene (Rasmussen) Adams

Jacline Irene Barone Adams, age 76, passed away on Thursday May 11th, 2017 at Banner Thunderbird Hospital with her family nearby. Jacline was born October 27th 1940, in Omaha Nebraska, the daughter of Madeline Doyle/Barone and Jack Sterling Rasmussen.

Jacline loved the art of cooking, baking, painting and sewing, as well as donating her time at the VA hospital in Prescott where she was famously known as the “Cookie Lady”. Every time she would visit the VA hospital she would bake enough homemade cookies to serve the patients, earning her the nickname “Cookie Lady”. She brought joy and happiness to everyone she encountered with her witty remarks and great sense of humor. For all of her life Jacline had a love for animals, she owned and operated a mobile dog groomers business even had her own shop in Cave Creek, Arizona. She also adopted many dogs and cats over the years and truly loved her pets.

Jacline was loved by many and will be survived by her son Todd Laughlin, son, Rod Laughlin and daughter in-law Jody Laughlin, son, Brad Laughlin and daughter in-law Dee Laughlin, daughter Christine Caron and step son David Adams and his wife Rochelle, as well as her eight grandchildren; Steven, Monica, Darian, Matthew, Kellie, Mariah, Kyler and Aryel, and several other relatives and friends.

Jacline is predeceased by her late husband of 20 years and the love of her life, Gary Garth Adams. She always used to say “I can’t wait until I am reunited with my Gary”.

There will not be a funeral or memorial service per Jacline’s final wishes, she will be placed alongside Gary at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona off Cave Creek Road and Pinnacle Peak Road. 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
