| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, June 11, 2017, page 10a - 11a Stanley Harold Rowley, 90, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away on June 3, 2017. He was always the Jolly Rowley with a friendly, gregarious smile for all. Born in Globe, Arizona, Stan grew up in Phoenix and played football for North High, then served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific. Later he attended Arizona State College in Flagstaff where he lettered all four years playing football. After graduating, he taught woodshop for 41 years for Prescott Public Schools. Stan loved hiking with his dogs and family around Prescott and especially at Mt. Rainier National Park where he was a ranger for three summers. Stan was married to his beloved wife, Barbara, for 68 years. He was Dad to Kathy (George), Steve (Debra), Karen (Bob), Terry, Nancy and Stash (Sara); and later Papa to his grandchildren, Genny Rowley, Lesley Slaughter, Kevin, Patrick and Kerry Marnell, Dan and Jon Kellerman, Stash, Eric and Ashley Rowley; and to his great-grandchildren, Leighton Kellerman, Simon and Raleigh Slaughter, and Claire Day-Rowley. A celebration of a long, full life will be held at a later date.
