Find Miner's Body in His Mountain Cabin

Alex Ratcliff, a mining man about sixty years old, died in his Hassayampa cabin for or five days ago as the result of natural causes, a coroner's jury, summoned by Justice of the Peace Gordon Clark today, found.

Ratcliff did not show up for his mail as usual so a searching party went out to investigate. He was found dead in his cabin and had been dead several days.

The body was brought this morning to the Lester Ruffner funeral home, where he will be held while efforts are made to locate relatives, in the east, though their names and addresses are not known.

Ratliff had been mining in Yavapai county for thirty or thirty-five years, it was stated, and at the time of his death was associated with Frank Carrow in some claims.

Transcriber's note: Mr. Ratcliff is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
