| Republican & Herald (Pottsville, PA) Friday, May 27, 2016 Alice B. Klinger, 88, of Hegins, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street. She was born Oct. 19, 1927, a daughter of the late Calvin L. and Blanche I. Specht Bixler. She was a seamstress for the former Philmark Mfg., Valley View, prior to her retirement. Following her retirement, she delivered the Pottsville Republican for 10 years. Alice was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins. She was also a member of ILGWU and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles, card games and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy L. Klinger, in 2006; a daughter, Ruth A. Murray; a son, Paul L. Klinger; two brothers, Calvin Bixler and Earl Bixler; a sister, Doris Erdman. She is survived by six daughters, Linda B. Hopkins and her husband, Jon, Wickenburg, Ariz., Nancy A. Carl, Hegins, Marie M. Mortensen, Lykens, Trudy L. Molnar and her husband, Robert, Hegins, Susan K. Kramer and her husband, Joe, Wiconisco, and Patricia J. Williams and her husband, David, Hegins; a son, Timothy L. Klinger and his wife, Molly, Dauphin; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon Bixler, Exton; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins, with the Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be made in St. John's Cemetery, Hegins. Memorial contributions can be made to Tri-Valley Public Library, 633 E.
