| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, April 5, 2017, p. A-11 Robert M. "Bob" Weible, 90, passed away April 1, 2017, at his home in Wickenburg. Bob was born April 10, 1926, in Los Angeles, Calif., to William and Catherine Weible. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946. Following his military service Bob worked as an ironworker, working in Alaska from 1952 to 1962, when he and Katy moved to Wickenburg. They owned and operated the Union Oil Distributorship for years. He and Katy were members of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and were instrumental in establishing St. Vincent de Paul Society in Wickenburg. He was also a member of the Lion's Club and the United Ironworkers Union. Bob was a friend to everyone and one of the nicest men you would ever meet. He was preceded in death by his wife Katy in December 2016; brothers James, William, Jack and Tom; and sister Mary Gross. He is survived by nephews and nieces Bob and Linda Gross, Joe and Patty Cattel, Judy and Dick O'Conner; and special friends Diane Alessi, Mary Guinan, Marjorie Brown, Sandra Monroe and Bill and Nancy Eppard. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with military honors and interment to follow in the St. Anthony of Padua Columbarium. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Bob and Katy Weible St. Vincent de Paul Fund. Friends may offer online condolences at www.wickenburgfuneralhome.com.
