Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, July 7, 2017 <<< Sylvio LaPierre, 91, passed away June 20, 2017 with friends by his side at Lake Havasu Nursing Center. He was born May 24, 1926 in Van Buren, Maine, the son of Neil and Flavie LaPierre. Sylvio proudly served in the Naval Amphibious Force in the South Pacific from 1944-1946. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Sylvio travelled all over the world and surely made an impression on people wherever he went. Some of his best times were spent with the Havasu 4 Wheelers Club. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Eagles, VFW and Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. He leaves behind his daughter Marjorie (James) Russell, grandson Todd (Kristie) Russell, great-grandsons Andrew and Ian Russell, all of Caribou, Maine; sisters Carmella, Carmen, and Jeanette, all of Connecticut; many nieces, nephews and also two dearest friends, Thomas and Tamara Pray, of Lake Havasu City. Sylvio touched the hearts of so many friends and anyone he encountered. He will be incredibly missed “God bless you.” There will be no services per Sylvio’s request.
