Dies From Cancer

Julia Smith, who had been an inmate of the County Hospital for some
months suffering from cancer.

She arrived in this city about one year ago, coming from southern
Arizona, where she enjoyed an excellent name as a caterer.

She attributed her illness mainly to the shock of the San Francisco
earthquake, and later the fatal disease developed.

Her remains are at Ruffner's and no relatives are known. Her name
is said to be an assumed one. She was about 77 years of age.

Transcriber's note: Ms. Smith is buried in an unmarked grave at the
Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
