Jeffrey D. Campbell, 65, of Prescott, Arizona, died unexpectedly on
Monday, June 26, 2017, at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix. He
was born in Prescott on Nov. 25, 1951, the son of Wiley S. and
Beverly (Bunch) Campbell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Deborah; son Matthew;
brother Kyle; niece Lee and nephew Steve.

Jeff was a third-generation Arizonan who was born and raised in
Prescott and graduated from Prescott High School in 1969. After
attending NAU, he returned to join his father Wiley in running
Campbell’s Musonics on West Gurley Street – a musical instrument and
audio electronics store and repair shop.

Jeff had an affinity for fixing anything from woodwinds to circuit
boards and continued to run the business after Wiley’s retirement.
Musonics served the musical needs of the Prescott community for over
30 years until its closure in 1999. Later, Jeff spent several years
using his electronics knowledge to assist with research and
development for medical devices.

A lover of the wilderness around his hometown, Jeff enjoyed spending
time in the cool pine woodlands and wandering along the many creeks
in the Prescott National Forest. He was also a skilled musician who
played guitar and mandolin. He and his wife Deborah took pleasure in
duets together on guitar and flute.

Jeff had a kind and loving heart and a quirky sense of humor. He
always made time to chat or lend and ear to anyone who crossed his
path. He will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.

Deborah and Matthew are grateful for the kindness, compassion, love
and care provided by the staff of John C. Lincoln Hospital in the
final hours of Jeff’s life.
