Visitation will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., in Prescott. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., on July 19, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury St., in Prescott. Our beautiful Melinda died unexpectedly Monday July 9, 2017, and is in Jesus’s arms this very day. Melinda loved music, nature, photography and her dog, Dudley, in that order. Melinda came to Prescott at the age of 10 and enrolled in Sacred Heart School; she graduated Prescott High School in 1986. She loved her church, Sacred Heart. She helped at St. Vincent DePaul and enjoyed helping people. Survived by her family — parents, Dick and Karen Lewis; only sister, Danielle and husband Kirk Herbert; her only two nieces, Amanda and Chelsea Herbert; and her longtime boyfriend, Tony Smith. Viewing and visitation is Monday, July 17, at Ruffner Wakelin, 4 to 6 p.m. The Funeral is Wednesday, July 19, at Sacred Heart Church at 11 a.m. Information provided by survivors.
