Marian “Pat” (Bush) Andrews, age 94, passed away on July 5, 2017, at
Highgate Senior Living in Prescott, Arizona.

Pat was born in Los Angeles, California, where she worked until
WWII. During the war she enlisted as a WAVE and served as a
shopkeeper at San Pedro Harbor. After her years of service she was
able to utilize the G.I. Bill to attend University of Redlands and
USC, where she graduated with a B.A. degree. She was introduced to
her husband-to-be, Bill Andrews, at the university and after a
whirlwind romance they were married and settled in the Los Angeles
area. They subsequently had two children, Cathy and Lynn.

Pat stayed busy raising her daughters and volunteering for various
youth organizations. She also served as a volunteer church secretary
for many years. Pat was later a member of the Model A Ford Club and
a hiking club with Bill.

Pat and Bill loved to travel. When the girls were still living at
home they spent every summer taking road trips exploring the United
States, Canada, and Mexico. Later, as empty-nesters, Pat and Bill
were fortunate to travel with friends overseas to many fascinating
and exotic locations.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Andrews.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Cathy Andrews of Citrus Heights,
California, and Lynn (Gary) Blue of Chino Valley, Arizona. She is
also survived by her grandson, Joshua Simmons (Ty) of Sacramento,
California. They all will greatly miss Pat’s vivaciousness and quick
wit.

Much appreciation is extended to the staff at Highgate Senior Living
for their outstanding care and compassion during Pat’s stay there.
They are truly earth’s angels.

There will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please
consider a donation to the Prescott (Arizona) Alzheimer’s
Association.

Arrangements were entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott, AZ.
