Vivian Mae (Parker) Hystad

Vivien Hystad, 84 of Cottonwood, passed away on July 13, 2017. She
was born on June 11, 1933 in Flagstaff to Daniel Parker and Mary
Mascarana.

Vivien attended AZ State College Elementary, Emerson Elementary and
Flagstaff High School. She worked for the Combo Restaurant, JC
Penny, Holiday Inn and Coconino County Assessor/Justice Court. She
was awarded the “Chatty Cathy” at Justice Court and the 1977
Coconino County Employee of the Year.

Vivien belonged to Clarkdale Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening,
road trips, camping, shopping and chocolate!

Vivien’s family came to Colorado from Italy in 1911. Alvin’s family
came from Norway to South Dakota in the early 1900’s.

Vivien was preceded in death by her husband Alvin N. Hystad.

She is survived by daughters Lynn Harris (Robert) of Phoenix, Laura
McNabb (Mike) of Page and Christine Thieme of Flagstaff; cousin
Agnes Pearsall; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-
great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at Clarkdale Baptist Church, 1051
AZ-89A in Clarkdale on July 22, 2017 at 3pm.
