Renee Boomhower, 52, left us on May 23, 2017 while she was receiving
cancer treatment in Mexico.
Renee was born Nov. 20, 1964 in Mason City, Iowa to William and
Bette Boomhower. They moved to Lake Havasu City with Renee and her
sister Patricia in 1969, flying out on the McCulloch flights.
Reneeās mother was a hairdresser and her father was a letter carrier
for most of their lives. Her family was one of the first pioneers of
Havasu; she lived there for 48 years until her recent passing.
Renee graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 1983. She later went
on to attend and graduate from cosmetology school in Havasu. She was
a hairdresser for many years and never retired. She also raised two
daughters.
She was an active member of Calvary Church and she had a strong
faith in Jesus Christ. Her interests included family, gardening,
cats, and doing hair. She devoted much of her time and energy to
family members, including her daughters and mother, who passed away
at age 78.
Renee is survived by her daughters Randi and Dallas Plemmons,
sisters Patricia Bjornson of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Dodie
Strole of Kingman, and various nieces and nephews.
