| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, July 28, 2017 <<< Renee Boomhower, 52, left us on May 23, 2017 while she was receiving cancer treatment in Mexico. Renee was born Nov. 20, 1964 in Mason City, Iowa to William and Bette Boomhower. They moved to Lake Havasu City with Renee and her sister Patricia in 1969, flying out on the McCulloch flights. Renee’s mother was a hairdresser and her father was a letter carrier for most of their lives. Her family was one of the first pioneers of Havasu; she lived there for 48 years until her recent passing. Renee graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 1983. She later went on to attend and graduate from cosmetology school in Havasu. She was a hairdresser for many years and never retired. She also raised two daughters. She was an active member of Calvary Church and she had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Her interests included family, gardening, cats, and doing hair. She devoted much of her time and energy to family members, including her daughters and mother, who passed away at age 78. Renee is survived by her daughters Randi and Dallas Plemmons, sisters Patricia Bjornson of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Dodie Strole of Kingman, and various nieces and nephews. |
