Death Of Joseph N. Marlowe
May 1, 1911 - Joseph N. Marlowe, a beloved and highly respected
pioneer citizen of Williamson valley, this county, died at his home,
in that valley, after a sickness of several years duration.
Paralysis was the fatal malady.
He was 69 years of age, and was a native of Canada.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Everett and E. N. Marlowe, and
a brother, Frank Marlowe, all of whom were with during his last
hours in the flesh.
The funeral took place from the family home, Tuesday afternoon, and
was largely attended by mourning friends from all over this section.
Burial was had in the Simmons cemetery. Rev. I. F. McKay, of
Prescott, conducted the services. The pall bearers were J. W.
Stewart, Thos. Drew, Joseph Matli, James Cook, A. Matli, Henry
Hartin. Lester Ruffner was funeral director.
