| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, August 13, 2017, page 6a - 7a Monte “Mac” McKinley died peacefully in Prescott, Arizona, on Aug. 8, 2017, at the age of 83. Monte is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian McKinley of Prescott, Arizona. Other survivors include his brother, Jon McKinley; and sister, Patty Cummins. Additional survivors include his three sons, Richard, Leonard and Ralph; their three spouses; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Monte was born on Sept. 4, 1933, in Goodland, Kansas, to Ralph and Beulah McKinley. Monte graduated from Globe High School, Globe, Arizona, in 1951. He married Lillian Lee Leonard in 1954 in Globe, Arizona. After moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, he began working for the Andrew Jergens company. Monte was promoted to Western Regional Sales Manager. Lillian and Monte have lived in Prescott for the past 33 years. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Hampton Funeral Home, with a reception after at the Hassayampa Inn. Pastor David Knight officiated the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Solid Rock Christian Fellowship in memory of Monte McKinley, husband of Lillian McKinley. Online donations can also be made to Solidrockprescott.org.
