| Prescott Morning Courier, Prescott, Arizona Territory Tuesday, January 15, 1901, page 3, column 3 Local Intelligence - Chapo Montano, an expert cowboy, who has always figured successfully in steer-tying contests in this county, died of pneumonia at P. C. Wilder's ranch yesterday morning. Montano had been Wilder's ranch foreman for about six years. He was a trustworthy man and a good citizen. The body was brought to Logan's undertaking parlors last evening by Frank Felix and Silas Wright. Montano has relatives in Los Angeles, California. Transcriber's note: Mr. Montano is buried in an unmarked grave at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. |
