| Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona Ronald Lee Schlieker March 3, 1936 - August 23, 2017 Ronald Lee Schlieker, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 23, surrounded by family. Ron was born on March 3, 1936 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of Russel and Ruby (Smothers) Schlieker. They moved to Wickenburg in 1950 where he attended and graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1954. He worked at the movie theater, a service station and then was a dedicated employee of the Wickenburg Post Office where he served for 37 years. He has been retired for the remaining years of his life. Survivors include his wife Patricia of 31 years; children Ronda (Chris) Cunningham, Scott (Debbie) Schlieker; stepson, Leonard Horton, step-daughter Cindy (Greg) Olson ; grandchildren Emily, Ashlee, Hayden Cunningham; Charles, Christian, Cadance Schlieker; Jonathon Horton; Liam Olson; Ashley Hines; great-grandchildren Kaylyn and Matthias Hines. Ron was preceded in death by sister, Mina Garnand; stepson, Adam Horton and grandson, Patrick Horton. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Wickenburg Funeral Home and Crematory, 187 N Adams St. Arrangements were made by Wickenburg Funeral Home and Crematory.
