| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, August 25, 2017 <<< Arthur Esteban, 87, passed away at home Aug. 13, 2017 in Lake Havasu City. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in August 1953 and was assigned to a helicopter company at Fort Riley, Kansas. After working in Windsor Locks, Connecticut assembling aircraft engine, Arthur joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956. He served until 1974, holding positions of mechanic, quality control engineer, and maintenance supervisor. After serving in Vietnam, Arthur moved to Tucson, Arizona and attended Pima Community College. He earned an associate degree in computer programming while working for a handicap transport company. In 1988, he began working as a caddy on the PGA and LPGA golf tours until 2000, when he retired to Havasu. He enjoyed jazz music, repairing golf clubs, playing golf and traveling the country during retirement. He is survived by his wife Sherry of Lake Havasu City; sons Steven and George of Tucson; daughter Candice Esteban of Tucson; brother Carlos, Wailua, Hawaii; sister Agnes Llanos of Kailua, Hawaii; grandchildren Nadine, Brandon, Carol, Aden, Alicia, Steven, and Michael Bush along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory, veteran and family-owned. |
