His family moved to Irvine, Kentucky, then later to Louisville, Kentucky. Earl served our country in the Army from January 1949 to January 1952, earning the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Campaign Stars. He worked in Southern California in the aerospace industry, as well as property management. He and his wife Shirley retired to Lake Havasu City in 1997. Earl was preceded in death by his son, Earl Thomas Chaney. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Shirley; six children: Raymond (Nancy), William Steven, Michelle, Karin (Mike), Susan and David. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and his niece, Dr. Manda Davis. Many extended family across the country also will miss him dearly. |
