HERNANDEZ, Estanislado M.

Estanislado M. "Gaby" Hernandez, 88, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at his home in Superior. He was born Nov. 13, 1912, in Sierra Mojada, Mexico, and had lived in Superior since 1943. 

Mr. Hernandez worked as a miner with Magma Copper until 1976 when he retired. He enjoyed visiting with others as well as some gardening and fishing. 

Survivors are his wife, Luz, and seven children: Juanita Hernandez, Mary (James) Eastman, Julia Azuayo, Joseph (Teri) Hernandez, Rudy Hernandez, Rick (Lisa) Hernandez and Manuela Hernandez. There are 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 

The Rosary service was held Friday, Nov. 2, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Fr. Augustine Kattady celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Nov. 3. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery. 

Superior Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
