| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, August 18, 2017, page 5a Eve (Averkiou) Shelton, 77, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on Aug. 12, 2017. Eve was born June 8, 1940, in New York City. She moved to Phoenix at the age of 6 and graduated from North Phoenix High School in 1958. She attended Arizona State University and became a legal secretary until she retired and eventually settled in Prescott Valley, Arizona. She was the nanny to two beautiful children (Rudy and Katie), whom she loved as her own. She spent time volunteering as a literacy tutor and at the local animal shelter. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her love and best friend Larry Emmans. She is survived by her daughters, Diana (Randy) McLaws and Elizabeth (Justin Lee) Moutafis; brother George (Margie) Averkiou; and grandsons Matthew Doherty, Collin Doherty, Tate Dunham and Davis Dunham.
