| Prescott Morning Courier, Prescott, Arizona Terriory Tuesday, June 12, 1900, page 2, column 3 The Jerome Department - Mr. Gillespie, a respected citizen of Jerome, died Saturday and was buried this afternoon. Deceased was about 50 years of age, and had been suffering with stomach troubles for the past ten years. He was the father of James Gillespie, head clerk in the grocery department of the Miller company store, the father of Mrs. Thorbeck and Miss Gillespie, all of Jerome. The funeral was largely attended. |
