| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Monday, August 28, 2017 <<< Josephine “Josie” A. Sheriff, 84, of Sheridan, passed away Aug. 21, 2017 at the Westview Health Care Center. She was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Kajan) Bartole. Josie graduated from Lefor High School in 1950. She married Robert Glenn Sheriff in 1953. Josie’s vocation was bookkeeping for various companies and banking establishments. She enjoyed many hobbies, including cake decorating, sewing and especially crochet — which occupied much of her time in later years. She was very involved in her children’s school years, volunteering as room mother, the PTA and school office work. She would also babysit for younger children in her home. Josie was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Elizabeth, her husband Robert, sister Eileen Elterman and brother Antoine Bartole. She is survived by her children Terrie (Brian) Bacher, Mickie (Robin) Johnson, Joseph Glenn Sheriff, grandchildren Kristan Michelle Bacher, Ann Marie Bacher, Aaron Michael (Amy) Bacher, R. Brice (Jessica) Johnson, Daniel (Jessi) Johnson, Lance Robert Sheriff, great-grandchildren Zane Edward Bacher, Ellyson Corinne Bacher, Bannor Sheriff Bacher, and No. 4 Bacher due in October, a little girl, Peyton and Vivian Johnson.
