| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, August 29, 2017, page 5a Betty J. Barton, passed away on Aug. 25, 2017, in Chandler, Arizona. She was born on Sept. 20, 1930, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Curtis and Virgie VanZant. Betty is survived by her children, Kathleen (Don) DeCapio of Fort Worth, Texas, Sharon Steigerwald of Chandler, Arizona, and Lila Barton of Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren Michael, Sean, Michelle, Laura, and Matt; great-grandchildren Austin, Megan, Savannah, Jake, Logan, Chris, Tillman, Sierra and Jack. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed living a religious lifestyle. She was a devout Catholic and she was steadfast in two things, love of her family and devotion to her faith. Betty was very proud of being a great mother and earning her degree in Theology. She will truly be missed by her loving family and all her friends. A Rosary will be held at Ruffner-Wakelin, Prescott Chapel, 303 S. Cortez St., in Prescott, on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. A Christian Burial Service will begin at the funeral home at 11 a.m., to be followed by a private burial.
