| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, August 30, 2017, page 5a Marilyn (Mell) Savoini, 81, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. She was born Nov. 9, 1935, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Selby and Annabel (Drummond) Young. She attended high school in Colorado Springs and went on to college at Colorado State University, getting a degree in agronomy. She had many jobs, being a wife, mother, rancher and office manager at Prescott Animal Hospital until her retirement in 1999. She had many hobbies, riding horses, tennis, golf, reading and her passionate love for animals, and most important dedicating her life to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jim; son Clint (Jill) and daughter Jenni (Alan); along with her five grandchildren; Rhett, Jaden, Sloane, Joe and Logan. A memorial service will be held Saturday Sept. 2, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury St., in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made in her name to your favorite charity or Sacred Heart Church. Hampton Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
