Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, June 21, 2017, p. A-5 Raymond A. Johns, a long-time resident of Wickenburg passed away May 23, 2017, at his daughter's home in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born Nov. 20, 1918, in DeSmet, S.D. to Gullusa G. and Ellen Jane (Henneghan) Johns. He left South Dakota right after graduating from high school and eventually ended up in California working for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He left the railroad and joined the Army during WWII serving in Okinawa. He married Delma LuClaire Pauley in 1958 and they later came to live in Wickenburg. He is survived by his daughter Nanna Ware. There will be no formal services.
