About 4 o'clock yesterday morning a telephone message was received
at the sheriff's office that a man had been killed at the Yeager
mine, and to send out a coroner.
The man was killed at 1 a.m., while at work on the 1000 foot level,
by a rock falling on him. His name was Abato Arando (sic Aranda).
He was a Texas-Mexican, and had lived in this section for about five
years. He was 30 years of age.
The remains were brought to Ruffner's undertaking parlors last
evening. Justice McLane went out and held an inquest. The verdict
of the jury was accidental death.
Transcriber's note: Mr. Aranda is buried in an unmarked grave at
the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
