Richard Kenneth "Robbie" Robison

Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Richard Kenneth "Robbie" Robison, age 81, of Salina, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017, surrounded by his family, in Gunnison, Utah. He was born April 1, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Sheril Edward and Henrietta Mariam Kirchner Robison.

He joined the Navy in November of 1953 and served for 21 years, retiring April 19, 1974 as a Chief Petty Officer E-7. Robbie married the love of his life, Iona Joy Platt, June 27, 1958 in Wickenburg, Arizona. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Robbie enjoyed landscaping, organizing his garage, computer work and he enjoyed watching football.

Our beloved father was the most loving, caring Father. He loved each and every one of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild, but the love of his life is his beloved wife, Iona. He will be greatly missed.

Robbie is survived by his beloved wife, Iona, of Salina, Utah; children: Richard Edward Robison of Moab; Cindy and Neal Walser of Redmond; Dehlia and Angel Suarez of Provo; Thresia Gross of Salina; 19 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sheril Edward Robison; mother, Henrietta Kirchner Coover; step-father, Melvin Coover; parents-in-law: Leola and John I. Platt; two sons, David Hernandez and Kelly Gross; 4 grandchildren: Devon Robison, Jonathan Walser, Shawna Lynn Coville and Julia Robison.

Robbie's remains will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date in Wickenburg, Arizona under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
