ERIC RUCKMAN "To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die."

Our dear, sweet, and beloved son, brother, father, friend and husband, Eric J. Ruckman, 43, passed July 14, 2016, at his Las Vegas home. He suffered and fought a brave battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 1, 1972, in Warren, Ohio, to Joyce and Joseph Ruckman. He graduated from Warren Western Reserve JVS High School in 1991 and married Natalie Montgomery in Warren. Eric was a journeyman wireman union brother of Las Vegas Local IBEW 352.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ruckman of Warren. He is with his dad, Joe, now, safe and without pain. He took a piece of our hearts with him.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce Ruckman Norris and William Norris of Cape Coral, Fla.; children, daughter, Taylor, and son, Ryan Ruckman, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister and brothers, Dawn Dawson of Las Vegas, James Ruckman of Warren, Emily Ruckman of Cape Coral, Stephen Ruckman of Warren, David Ruckman of Las Vegas, and Jeff Ruckman of Sharon, Pa. He is also survived by his wife, Leah Van Dyne; and stepson Jesse, both of Las Vegas. Uncle Eric will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, Lexi Dawson and Jeremy Ruckman of Las Vegas, Devin, Madison, Mikhayla, Jade, Jenna, Lenny and Jeffery Ruckman, all of Warren; aunts and uncles, Janice and David Alford, Peggy Jo and Jeff Brown, Marybeth Fee, Sam Ruckman, Ricky and Lenny Fee, all of Warren, and Mary Ellen Fee, Marsha and Ted Berger, all of Wickenburg, Ariz.

Eric was blessed and loved by many true friends, Shawn Husk of Warren, Shelly Cortez, Corey Zolin and Mike Holeness, John Emerine, all of Las Vegas, and Mike Wells of Lake Havasu, Ariz.

Services are pending. "Rest in peace."
