GARCIA, Marie Viola

Marie Viola Garcia, 85, passed away in her Dudleyville home Monday, Jan. 14, 2002. She was a devoted homemaker who also worked as a custodian for over 10 yeers at White Pine High School in Ely, Nevada. Prior to the custodial occupation, she had cleaned motel rooms and homes, and took care of various children. She was an extremely hard worker and cleaned the church for the Altar Society of which she was a member. She enjoyed playing the slot machines in Nevada. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria J. (Guillermo) Martinez of Dudleyville; sons, Anselo (Lydia), Ben Margarito, Gerald (Linda), and Carl (Connie), all of Ely, Nevada; brother, Jake Garduno of Montrose, Colorado; 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. One son, Joseph Andrea, pre-deceased his mother in 1969. Services are scheduled in Ely, Nevada, Friday, Jan. 18, and Saturday, Jan. 19, at Mountain Vista Chapel. Griffith Mortuary handled the arrangements. 01/25/2002.
