Asay B. (Ace) Johnson

Ace Johnson passed away Sept. 1 in Lake Havasu City. He was a
husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great
grandfather, uncle and patriot.

Ace was raised in a small mining town in northeastern Nevada. He and
his wife, Gloria, raised their family in the small town of McGill,
Nevada. He was a horseman, golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He was a
member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose, American Legion, and VFW. He
loved serving his community in any way he could.

Ace was called to serve his country during World War II, and entered
the United States Army Air Corps. He was a B-17 navigator. His plane
was shot down over Germany and Ace was a POW until liberated at the
end of the war.

Ace and Gloria moved to Lake Havasu in 1986 after he retired from
Kennecott Copper Corp. They enjoyed the beautiful weather which
allowed them to participate in their favorite pastimes, golfing and
the Elks. They made many friends and were loved by all.

Ace loved his wife, his family and gave generously to anyone that
needed his help in any endeavor.

Ace is survived by his daughter, brother, grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, great-great grandchild, many nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Ace requests a donation to your favorite charity
in his name.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
