Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Monday, October 9, 2017 <<< >>> Anna Rosalie Antunes Wixom <<< Anna, known as “Nana” by many, went to Heaven to be with Jesus Oct. 1, 2017. She was born in Newburgh, New York on Sept. 5, 1934. She married the love of her life, Charles, in 1953 and had five children. Anna had a wild and spunky sense of humor and told the best stories. She was a fabulous cook and hosted the best parties, one of the best being her famous Christmas Eve party that was held every year for 50-plus years. She was a member of the New York Club in Lake Havasu City for about 14 years. Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wixom, son Robert C. Wixom, sisters Phyllis Horwath and Natalie Tague and son- in-law Hubert J. Miller. Anna is survived by her sister, Lenora Covert, sons William Wixom (Sandra) and Nicholas Wixom (Kimberly), daughters Robin Schultz (Peter) and Sandra Miller. Also surviving are many grandchildren: Manuel James (known as MJ), Amber (Aaron), Bernadetta (Steven), Christina (Cody), Derek (Paula), Charles (known as Chaz), Kayla, Karen (Travis), Anthony (Keisha), April (Ben) and Isabella; great- grandchildren: Faith, Marshall, Marishka, Hayven, Annabelle, Atley, Hudson, Kilee and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Anna’s service is Friday, Oct. 13, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, at 11 a.m. A reception at the church follows immediately after.
