| Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, January 25, 1888, page 3, column 1 Local News (From Thursday's Daily) Sheriff Mulvenon received a telegram last evening announcing the murder of James E. Miles at Norwalk, California, on Tuesday, January 17th. The telegram was signed by W. C. Cooper, but contained no particulars further than the brief announcement of the crime. ------------------- Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, January 25, 1888, page 3, column 2 Local News (From Tuesday's Daily) The remains of the late James Miles, who was killed in Los Angeles County, California, on the 17th instant, will be shipped to Prescott for interment.
