Toni L. Balkema, 57, of the Florence area died Nov. 11, 2006 at Chandler Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Balkema was born March 21, 1949 in Davenport, Iowa, and was a daughter of Arnold and Mary Faber. She was a wife, mother and real estate investor.

Survivors include her husband, James; a daughter, Niki Suryawan of Houston; two sons, Jody Balkema of Buckeye and Johnathan Balkema of Independence, Ore.; a sister, Terry Sperry of Liberty Lake, Wash.; two brothers, Arnold and Mike Faber of Wichita, Kan.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
