| Weekly Journal-Miner (Prescott, Arizona) Wednesday, April 24, 1895, page 1, column 8 Obituary Mrs. Ella I. Dodge, wife of H. S. Dodge, was born in Montello, Wis., August 24, 1855; died in Skull Valley April 18, 1895. The subject of this sketch came to Arizona about a year ago, and during that time she had endeared herself to a large number of friends by her gentleness and kindness. She was free from pride, a faithful and loving wife. But consumption had laid its grip upon her, and she was led to realize that she was fast drifting toward the shore of immortality--and having given her heart to the Master, she was ready to attest her love for him by answering His call. She died in peace. The funeral was in charge of Rev. C.J. Chase, and a large number of friends were present, and the many tears shed evidenced the love they had for the deceased, and the respect they had for the heart broken husband. We laid her to rest amid flowers kind hearts had furnished, there to rest until the morning of the Resurrection. C.J. Chase See Also: Find A Grave |
