| The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Thursday, September 7, 2017 Charlotte Ruth Balik, 80 of Prescott, passed away on September 3, 2017 at the Arizona Pioneer Home in Prescott. She was born on March 20, 1937 in Sedona to Charles Smith Thompson and Avis Hedges. Some of Charlotte’s special accomplishments was becoming a CNA and a In Home Caregiver. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and bowling. Charlotte attended Evening Time Lighthouse Church. Mother of her 6 children. Our beloved Mom was an original. Matriarch of our family. Charlotte was preceded in death by her mother Avis Hedges and daughter Cathy Noseworthy. She is survived by sons Michael Smith of Tucson, Bill Smith of Mesa and Tim Balik (Susanna) of Winchester, CA; daughters Becky Harris of Mesa and Denise Charlson (Darrin) of Churdan, Iowa; sister Helen Williams (Earl) of Tucson; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at LDS Church, Sept. 9, 9:30 AM, at 1377 Hombre Drive, Cottonwood A graveside service will be held at the Cook Cemetery in Sedona on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:00pm.
