Nancy G. Kmiecik, 78, passed away Sept. 27 in her Lake Havasu City
home that she enjoyed during the past 10 years of her retirement.
She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.

Nancy grew up in South Bend, Indiana in a large Catholic family with
12 siblings. She was the daughter of John and Mary Leda. She moved
to San Diego in 1957.

She was a hard worker in the hospitality/catering business where she
was well loved, accepted everyone as special and always looked for
the best in others. She loved her family traditions of Polish music,
food and celebrating holidays. She was a loyal Notre Dame football
fan, never missing a game. Above all, her true love was raising her
three children. Her grandchildren gave her the most joy; with all
her heart, she gave them her love.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Kmiecik. She is
survived by her daughters Karen Kenick-Musgrave, Lisa Tice and son
John Stenberg, grandchildren Danny Tice, Colten Musgrave, Alexah,
Evangeline, Adelynne and Ethan Stenberg and her last living sibling,
LuLu Lemieux.

A celebration of Nancy’s life is at St. Rose of Lima, Chula Vista,
California Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. Her final resting place is Fort
Rosecrans Cemetery San Diego. In lieu of flowers or plants,
donations to Hospice of Havasu or the American Cancer Society would
be appreciated.
