Kashyap Rajendra (Kash) Bhakta

Kashyap “Kash” Rajendra Bhakta, 21, born July 7, 1996, in Barstow,
Calif., died September 21, 2017, in Fort Riley, Kan.

A viewing will be from 3 to 5:00 p.m., on Friday, September 29,
2017, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave, in Prescott, Ariz.

A funeral will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30,
2017, at the Prescott High School Ruth Street Theater, 1050 Ruth
Street in Prescott.

Final commendation will be at the Prescott National Cemetery.
Heritage Memory Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements.

Kashyap “Kash” Bhakta, United States Army Specialist Kashyap “Kash”
Bhakta passed away on Thursday Sept. 21, 2017, at the early age of
21. Kashyap was born July 7, 1996 to Rajendra and Shila Bhakta in
Barstow, California.

Kashyap lived in Prescott Valley, Arizona, where he spent majority
of his teenage years. He graduated from Prescott High school, where
he achieved a Degree through Yavapai College during his years in
high school. After graduating from high school, Kashyap attended
Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he studied
Computer Engineering. Soon after he decided to serve his nation by
enlisting into the Service.

In March of 2015 he joined the United States Army where he served as
a Combat Engineer with B Company, 82nd Brigade Engineer Battalion,
2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division out of Fort
Riley, Kansas. From October 2015 to July 2016 he was deployed to
Kuwait. Spc. Bhakta was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army
Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on
Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service
Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Medal.

Kashyap is survived by his wife, Jessica Bhakta; mother and father,
Rajendra and Shila Bhakta; grandmothers Somben and Jamanaben;
sisters Sweta Patel and Pooja Bhakta; and many aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
also including Luna and Winston, his furry babies.

Kashyap was loved by many and will be missed by all. He was a
beloved husband, son, and brother. Jai Surya.

A viewing will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at
Heritage Memory Mortuary at 131 Grove Ave. in Prescott. Funeral
services with Military Honors will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday,
Sept. 30, 2017, at the Prescott High School Ruth Street Theater at
1050 Ruth St. in Prescott. Final commendation will be at the
Prescott National Cemetery.
