Ina Mae Womack, longtime Prescottonian, passed away Sept. 20, 2017.
Born Nov. 9, 1929, on a farm in Hillsdale County near Camden, Mich.,
she was the youngest of six Walworth family siblings.

After moving to Prescott in 1945, with her family, she finished her
last years of high school at Prescott High School, graduating in
1947 and worked at a local downtown dress shop for 20 cents an hour.

She was married May of 1948 to Robert Womack. Together, they raised
their four children, owned and managed several Miller Valley
businesses and also contracted with the U.S. Postal Service, running
the Miller Valley substation for many years from 1953 to the late
1980s.

Ina Mae and Robert loved animals and the outdoors, especially
picnicking and fishing. They often took the grandchildren camping
and fishing at Granite Basin and Goldwater Lake. Ina Mae was the
ultimate cook and very frequently showed her abundant love that way.

Ina Mae is survived by her children; Ron Womack (Tricia), Bonnie
Devereaux (Tom), Gary Womack and Mark Womack (Pam). She has nine
grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A private family remembrance was scheduled. No formal services per
her request.
