| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, October 11, 2017, page 5a & 8a Christian Daniel Schantz passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at the age of 78 in Prescott, Arizona. Christian was born to Irwin and Susan (Benner) in Roseau, Minnesota, on July 10, 1939. As his name implies, Christian believed that Jesus is God and the source of our salvation. He served with his father as part of Northern Lights Gospel Mission from 1964 to 1977 in Red Lake, Ontario, Canada. He also served as a mechanic, a service manager, a truck driver, an appliance repairman, a husband and a father. Christian is survived by his wife, Celia Schantz; children from a previous marriage; two sons, Curtis Irwin Schantz of Scottsdale, Arizona and Daris Amon Schantz of Scottsdale, Arizona; two daughters, Starla Kay Neufeld of Kelowna, BC, Canada and Kristine Sue Millett of Scottsdale, Arizona; nine grandchildren, Jadon Schantz, Sharai Schantz, Joshua Schantz, Ciara Neufeld, Joelle Neufeld, Kendra Neufeld, Caleb Neufeld, Abigail Millett and Lincoln Millett; two brothers, Dennis Schantz and Merle Schantz; and one sister, Sylvia Gregory. Christian is preceded in death by parents Irwin and Susan Schantz and his sister, Dorothea Schrock. Information provided by survivors. |
