He was born in Cassadaga, N.Y., and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy B.; stepdaughter, Jo Ann Peterson; sisters, Joyce Johnson and Jean Stubbs; and brothers, Donald and Gilbert.
