Lester Webster, best known as Lee, was born in Oklahoma on Dec. 9,
1957. He fell asleep in the arms of our Lord Oct. 11, 2017 after a
brave 10-year battle with cancer.

His family moved to Long Beach, California when he was very young.
His proximity to the coast caused him to develop a passion for the
ocean and surfing.

After graduating high school at Long Beach Wilson, Lee became a
firefighter in Buena Park following a season in the California
Department of Forestry as a seasonal firefighter.

He married Marilyn Long April 11, 1987. They had two children,
Amanda and Tony. After 10 years in Buena Park, Lee moved his career
to the City of Garden Grove Fire Department, where he enjoyed a 22-
year career as an engineer before retiring due to his illness.

He also had a passion for construction and worked on a wide array of
projects throughout his life, alongside many lifelong friends. After
retirement, Lee and Marilyn relocated to Lake Havasu City. They
planned to enjoy boating and the beauty of the desert where they had
vacationed often throughout the years. They spent time transforming
their home into a desert oasis using Marilyn’s vision and Lee’s
construction prowess, as they had done to their California home
years prior.

Lee was an amazing and loving husband, father, believer, and friend,
as well as a dedicated firefighter, builder and jack of all trades.

Lee’s memorial service is at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Orange,
California on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
