Bruce R. Porter, 82, passed away Oct. 12, 2017.

He was the son of Elizabeth Jane (Hester) Porter and J. Kenneth
Porter, born on Aug. 22, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The family moved to Santa Ana, California three years later. Bruce
graduated high school at Santa Ana. He married and divorced twice

Bruce entered the U.S. Army in 1955, teaching special operation
units at different bases in the U.S. at headquarters in Paris,
France. He studied martial arts in Korea. Along with his reserve
years, he spent eight years with the Army and was proud to serve,
earning an honorable discharge.

After his military service, Bruce went to Long Beach State on the
G.I. Bill and achieved a B.A. Most of his working career was spent
with Ford Motor Company, reaching regional parts manager for the
Western States. He traveled to many dealerships, setting up new
parts departments.

In Missoula, Montana, Bruce met his love, Pam Dalton. On June 17,
1978, they became one. After moving to Washington state, they bought
a boat and made Puget Sound their home for many years.

After visiting the Colorado River area several winters, Lake Havasu
City was picked for their retirement years. Bruce, his mother and
Pam moved here 20 years ago. Bruce loved being a member of the Elks

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Kenneth
Porter and daughter Molly Garcia.

(Travis) Perry, Rebecca (Chris) McNelis, Kyle Coenen; three great-
