Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ) Wednesday, March 27, 1968, p. 59 Joe Mauck, Jeweler on E. McDowell Joe Leonard Mauck, 67, owner of the Joe Mauck Jewelers at 1430 E. McDowell since 1945 and member of many Masonic organizations here, died Monday in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Mauck, 2334 N. Ninth St., a watchmaker who was born in Henry County, Ind., moved here from Sulphur Springs, Ind. He was a member of Glendale Masonic Lodge 23, Phoenix Consistory, York Rite, Arizona Chapter 1, Royal Arch Masons, Phoenix Council 4, Royal and Select Masters', Phoenix Commandery of Knights Templar, El Zaribah Shrine, Rameses Grotto and former member of Montezuma Lodge. Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Grimshaw's Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home. Friends may call there after 4 p.m. today. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Edith; four daughters, Mrs. Joan Henderson of Globe, Mrs. Mary Baker of Sandy, Utah, Mrs. Velma Brandt of Seminole, Fla., Mrs. Joyce Hoffman of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters in Indiana; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
