KOIVISTO, Eric James

Eric James Koivisto, 59, a Casa Grande native and resident, died May 9, 2009 at Hospice Compassus.

A private celebration of life is planned.

Mr. Koivisto was born April 16, 1950. He was known for his puzzles. He was independent and loved living on his own. He loved life and liked to camp.

Survivors include two sisters, Karla Fernwault of Goodyear and Kristi Koziol of Phoenix, and a brother, Kurt Koivisto of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Pearl Koivisto; a brother, Ronald Koivisto; and a sister, Jeri Nuss.

Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
