Jerry passed away suddenly at the age of 90 with his family in
Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born in Rochester, New York, to
Georgianna and William Sager of Sea Breeze, New York.

A Naval veteran of WWII, Jerry served on a destroyer based out of
Miami Beach, Florida, and was honorably discharged in 1946. A
graduate of Franklin High School in Rochester in 1948, he married
Joyce Stearns. Jerry was employed by WHEC TV and WXXI TV and later
worked as an electronic technician for Eastman Kodak in Rochester
until his retirement.

A love for the desert Southwest compelled Jerry to reside in
Prescott, Arizona, for 25 years where he continued his avid
participation in amateur radio (KA1BAB).

Jerry called Prescott “paradise” and thoroughly enjoyed showing
relatives and friends Arizona. He was a member of the American Radio
Relay League, the Yavapai Amateur Radio Club, the Arizona Bighorn
Sheep Society and several other organizations.

A stalwart and devoted husband, father and friend, Jerry is survived
by three children: Mark Sager (Tracey) of Dansville, New York, Susan
Baer (Michael) of Churchville, New York, and Jack Sager (Renee) of
Morgantown, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Jenna,
Ashley, Conrad, and Cassie.

His wife Joyce of 33 years and his brother, Jack, of Riverside,
California, preceded Jerry in death.
