E. Faye Wright, 92, passed away Aug. 3, 2017, in Sun City West.

Faye was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Tira, Texas, to Jesse M. and Medie Mae Proffer. She worked as a bank teller early in life until retiring when she moved to Wickenburg, where she pursued a career in real estate as an agent and then as a broker. Faye was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hassayampa Chapter #35 in Wickenburg for 37 years. She was affiliated with the Wickenburg Church of Christ.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband Paul Wright; two brothers Odell and Vernon Proffer; sister-Helen Ussery; and grandson Randall Leger.

She is survived by her daughter Joan Strader and son-in-law, John of Wickenburg; son Jimmy Massey and daughter-in-law, Nancy of Blue Springs, Mo.; and brother, Raymond Proffer and wife, Juanita of Coppell, Texas; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. at The Madison at 18626 N. Spanish Garden Dr. in Sun City West.
